Tips and techniques to get a more refined look!

In this class the student will work one on one with the instructor to achieve aged and distressed finishes. The student will gain knowledge from watching the instructor demonstrate a variety of techniques and also from the instructor’s workbench tips. The student will be instructed how to achieve various aged details. Supplies and tools required. Basic tool kit-various x-acto knives, paint/paint brushes (student’s choice of color) and wood stain of student’s choice. Steel wool, old tee-shirt to cut into rags and metal edge ruler.

Steampunk dodo bird this class will be available in 1 inch 1/2 inch and 1/4 inch scales
Jil will sculpt each student birds using no molds. The students will take the baked/sculpted bird and paint beak and feet. Then she will show each student how to flock /feather the bird. Last each student will place the realistic eyes and hat on.

Contruct your own garden scene in a coffee cup. Included in this quarter scale scene will be a garden bench with a blanket, gazing ball, garden shed with tools (not shown), stone path, trees, bushes, siding for the house side, and other items. All materials, pictures, glue, paint, etc will be included. A variety of pictures will also be included. Bring your own basic tool box if you don’t want to wait for something to be freed up. Let your imagination take hold to personalize your quiet get-away!
